Kuwait to Establish Cargo City at Airport

Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation is expected to sign a contract to establish a cargo city project at Kuwait International Airport. The project, to cover three million square kilometres, will be the largest cargo city in the Middle East, according to Kuwait News Agency.

The proposed cargo city will be located between the existing western runway and the third runway.

The project will include construction of a parking area for 67 freighter Airbus A380 and Boeing B800-747 aircraft in the first phase and will be complete within 400 days.
