June Traffic Soars at Mexican Airports

Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste has said that total passenger traffic for June 2010 increased by 25.5% in comparison to June 2009.

International traffic at Cancun International Airport rose by 48.8%, Huatulco International Airport by 74.5%, Cozumel International Airport by 10.5% and at Merida International Airport by 35.9%.

Traffic also rose at Minatitlan Airport by 99.5%, Oaxaca Airport by 17.4%, Tapachula International Airport by 27.5%, Veracruz International Airport by 19.3% and Villahermosa International Airport by 4.9%.

Domestic traffic at Cancun increased by 8.4%, Cozumel by 22.5%, Huatulco by 2.7%, Merida by 10.0%, Minatitlan by 0.2%, Oaxaca by 2.5%, Tapachula by 4.7%, Veracruz by 9.1% and Villahermosa by 7.0%.

Total traffic at Cancun rose by 34.6%, Cozumel by 11.1%, Huatulco by 5.5%, Merida by 11.8%, Minatitlan by 1.6%, Oaxaca by 0.1%, Tapachula by 4.1%, Veracruz by 9.9% and Villahermosa by 6.3%.
