Canada's civil air navigation services provider NAV CANADA has acquired a majority stake in Searidge Technologies, a leading provider of video solutions for air traffic control.

The deal will allow access to Searidge's intelligent video platform IntelliDAm, a robust Non-Cooperative Surveillance System (NCSS), which provides detection, positioning and tracking of all targets on an airport surface.

NAV CANADA President & CEO John Crichton said that intelligent video technology has the potential to promote the adoption of new methods to support air traffic surveillance at airports.

The partnership will accelerate the development of new features, technologies and products for air traffic control markets.

Searidge is a provider of intelligent video platform solutions to ANSP and airports.
