The European Commission has launched a campaign in all member states to inform passengers travelling by air about their rights.

As part of the Your Passenger Rights at Hand campaign, travellers in airports will be informed about their rights through posters and free leaflets. There is also a specially designed website.

The information, availiable in the European Union's (EU) 23 official languages, will include basic rights, such as outlining what passengers are entitled to when their flight is delayed or cancelled, or when luggage is lost or damaged.

The campaign is expected to run for two years.
