May Passenger Traffic Rises at US KCI Airport

US Kansas City International (KCI) Airport has reported a rise in May passenger traffic by 2.5% to 889,071, compared with the same period in 2009. KCI has handled a total of 454,960 boarding passengers in May, while for the year to date, boardings have increased by 1.9% to 1,923,759 compa

US Kansas City International (KCI) Airport has reported a rise in May passenger traffic by 2.5% to 889,071, compared with the same period in 2009.

KCI has handled a total of 454,960 boarding passengers in May, while for the year to date, boardings have increased by 1.9% to 1,923,759 compared with the same period last year.

Air cargo tonnages, including both freight and mail transport, grew by 2.1%.

The airport handled 15 million pounds of air freight in May, a year-on-year increase of 2.8%, while air mail declined by 14.6%, compared with May 2009.
