The UK Government has established a south-east airports task force to reduce queues and delays at Heathrow, Stansted and Gatwick Airports in London.

UK Transport Secretary Philip Hammond, in a speech to London First, said the new group would focus on creating better, rather than bigger, airports in the UK.

Hammond said the group would work to enhance the airport's reliability, reduce queues and hassle, and improve service for passengers.

The group will be chaired by UK Aviation Minister Theresa Villiers and include representatives from British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, EasyJet, Ryanair, airport operators and passenger groups.
