Under the SEK375m ($48m) contract, Skanska will provide preconstruction services, including planning, cost estimates, logistics and procurement.

The project will include the renovation of Terminal C's baggage-handling system and check-in hall.

It will also involve the construction of a new shell space for a planned future extension, and replacing the terminal's HAVC system, which includes installing the ceiling, sprinklers, lighting, electrical and telecommunications systems.

Skanska USA will soon begin work on the site, which is scheduled for completion in 18 months.
