The British Airports Authority (BAA) has awarded a support services contract to Carillion for two terminals at Heathrow Airport in London, UK.

Under the £50m ($74m) contract, Carillion will provide planned and reactive mechanical, electrical and building fabric maintenance, as well as cleaning, compliance and pest control services for Terminals 1 and 3.

The contract for Terminal 1 is worth £23m ($34m) for an initial period of three years, with an option to extend this to seven years, according to birminghampost.net.

The Terminal 3 contract, worth £27m ($39.9m) for an initial period of three years, can be optionally extended to ten years.
