Bournemouth Airport in Dorset, UK, has opened a new terminal, which is expected to handle 900,000 passengers this year.

The terminal building, built at a cost of £45m ($65m), will enable the airport to handle three million passengers by 2015, according to the BBC.

The construction of the new terminal, which includes six new departure gates, was completed in 18 months.

The airport has also replaced its navigation systems, resurfaced the runway and expanded its apron to accommodate 11 planes.
