Macau Airport’s Traffic Drops for Second Consecutive Month

Passenger traffic at Macau International Airport (MIA) has declined for the second consecutive month by 7.4%, compared with April 2010.

MIA handled 330,407 passengers in May, down from 352,976 passengers in April.

The airport's cargo traffic also dropped by 13.1% to 4,887t from 5,619t in April, but increased 31% on a year-on-year basis.

In the first five months of 2010, MIA handled 1,754,408 passengers, which is slightly less compared with the same period in 2009.
