Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Achieves 44.6% Growth in May

Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals achieved a year-on-year growth of 44.6% to 257,315t in May 2010 compared with the same period in 2009.

Its total tonnage for the first five months in 2010 increased by 40.1% year-on-year to 1,142,875t.

Export volume rose by 56.7% to 142,052t, while the total export volume for the first five months increased by 48.2% to 618,698t.

Import volume increased by 31.2% to 65,069t, compared with May 2009, while aggregate import volume from January to May rose by 37.4% to 301,361t.

Transhipment volume posted a growth of 33% to 50,194t, while total transhipment tonnage from January to May rose 24.4% to 222,816t, over the same period last year.
