The US Air Transport Association has reported a 12.5% rise in April passenger revenue compared with the same month in 2009.

In April, US airlines recorded an increase of about 0.5% passengers, while the average price to fly one mile increased by 14%.

International passenger revenue grew by 15%, mainly driven by a 37% gain in transpacific markets.

In March, US airline cargo traffic rose by 22% on 2009's figures.
