The Israel Airport Authority (IAA) said in the first quarter of 2010, total cargo movements rose 16.18% to 105,726t, compared with 90,999t in the same period last year.

In April, El Al airlines handled 4,305t of freight, a growth of 18.8% compared with 3,624t during the same month in 2009, according to port2port.com.

In the first quarter of 2010, El Al handled 18,140t, an increase of 25.9% compared with the first four months in 2009.

Cargo Air Lines (CAL) handled 4,575t in April, a drop of 3.6% compared with the same period in 2009, while in the first quarter it handled 21,016t, a 11.36% rise.
