Adacel has won a contract to install air traffic control (ATC) simulators at seven key international airports in Ukraine.

The contract has been commissioned by the Ukrainian State Air Traffic Service Enterprise (UkSATSE).

Donetsk International Airport, Lviv International Airport, Kharkiv International Airport and Boryspil International Airport are just some of the airports that will benefit from the simulation technologies.

Under the deal, Adacel will supply one full-sized 360° MaxSim control tower simulator, nine smaller footprint MaxSim tower simulators and nine detailed airport visual databases.

The simulators will be used to carry out initial ATC training at the centre as well as operational unit training at the selected airport.

UkSATSE Training and Certification Centre director Vitalii Potemskyi said the first simulator will be installed this year.
