Copenhagen Airport in Denmark has recorded a year-on-year passenger growth rate of 17.2% to 260,000 in March 2010.
The airport said joint initiatives by airlines SAS and CPH, which aimed at reducing the minimum connection time from 40 to 30 minutes for a number of selected destinations, were partly behind the traffic rate rise.
The airport handled a total of 1,775,794 passengers in March 2010, an increase of 17.2%, compared with the same month in 2009.
International traffic increased by 15% and transfer traffic rose by 11.4%.
Domestic traffic grew by 34.7% in March, backed by domestic services to Aalborg, Ronne, Karup, Barcelona and Spain.
