Bahrain International Airport has installed a new multi–level baggage screening system.
The system, installed behind check-in counters or baggage make-up areas, increases the airport’s security offering and reduces congestion in the check–in hall.
The machine can screen 3,000 pieces of baggage an hour and eliminate the need for conventional X-ray machines, according to MENAFN Press.
It will use advanced security technology and processes so that luggage inspection can go through up to five levels of checks.
Bahrain Airport Company signed an agreement with Aeradio Technical Services and Holland’s Vanderlande Industries to introduce the system last year.
