Logan Teleflex will install a new baggage-handling system at Nea Anchialos Airport (VOL) in Central Greece as part of the airport's plan to upgrade existing facilities.

The system will include eight two-stage check-in positions in a single transportation line with redundancy provided by an adjacent out-of-gauge (OOG) baggage line.

Arrivals baggage will be manually loaded onto one of two flat carousels in the arrivals area.

The installation of the new baggage system is due for completion in March 2010.

VOL has awarded a €0.5m ($0.6m) contract to Logan Teleflex for the project.
