Los Angeles International Airport in the US halted screening on Wednesday for nearly 25 minutes after a security breach was identified.
Security screening at the airport's three terminals was halted after airport security agents mistakenly allowed a bottle of liquid to pass through before it was properly scanned, according to AP.
Transportation Security Administration agents returned the unopened bottle to a couple, who said it was a prescription medication, after examining it with a special scanner to determine if it contained explosives.
Screening was halted until the couple were found and the liquid was cleared.
No terminals were closed or planes delayed as a result of the incident.
