Gatwick Airport’s Traffic Improves in February

London Gatwick Airport in the UK handled a total of 2.05 million passengers in February 2010, which is a 3.2% rise compared with the same period in 2009.

Gatwick Airport's domestic traffic improved by 4.7% while long-haul traffic rose by 7% in February.

The airport's air transport movement also increased by 3.5% compared with February 2009.

Gatwick Airport's traffic for the period March 2009 – February 2010 has, however, decreased by 3.8% compared with the period March 2008 – February 2009.

Cargo tonnage also increased for the fourth consecutive month to 38.9%, but remains down on a rolling 12-month basis.
