Montreal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport in Canada has reported a decline of 4.7% in passenger traffic to 12.2 million in 2009, compared to 12.8 million in 2008.

This compares to an overall average decrease of 5.5% in passenger traffic in 2009 reported by major Canadian airports.

Montreal–Trudeau Airport's international traffic accounts for 37% of total traffic and recorded a 2.1% rise. Transborder and domestic sectors, accounting for 24% and 39% of total traffic, declined 6.8% and 9.3% respectively.

In 2009, Aeroports de Montreal handled 231,630 aircraft, a 5.5% decline from 2008.

International aircraft movements rose by 2.3% for the year while domestic and transborder movements declined 6.2% and 6.9%, respectively, on a sector-by-sector basis.
