Port Lincoln Airport in South Australia will receive a security upgrade following the Australian Government's decision to strengthen international and domestic aviation security.

Passenger and baggage screening systems will be increased at Port Lincoln Airport, which handles QantasLink Bombardier Q400 aircraft, according to the Port Lincoln Times.

The government will provide $32m to install forward screening systems at a number of other regional airports currently operating passenger turbo-prop aircraft such as the Q400.
