A strike by Lufthansa's pilots yesterday is likely to cause flight irregularities over the next few days.

Although the strike, which was initially planned for four days, was called off this morning, the airline is not expected to return to its normal schedule until February 26.

Causing 24h of delays and cancellations for customers, the strike was held by Lufthansa, Lufthansa Cargo and Germanwings pilots over pay and job security issues.

Lufthansa operates around 1,800 flights daily. It is estimated that the strike would have cost as much as €25m a day.
