GACA to Build New International Airport in Pabmec City

Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with an investment firm to build the new Hail International Airport in the Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Musaed Economic City (PABMEC). According to Gulf News, GACA has signed the agreement

Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with an investment firm to build the new Hail International Airport in the Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Musaed Economic City (PABMEC).

According to Gulf News, GACA has signed the agreement with Al Mal Investment Company (Al Mal).

The Hail International Airport project will consist of a control tower, passenger terminal, cargo terminal, main and branch runways, ground-handling service facilities and a maintenance building.

The project will also require power generation and water plants, an aviation fuel station, roads and other infrastructure networks, a fire safety equipment facility and medical clinics.

The $7bn Pabmec project is expected to be completed by 2025 and will be located 720km north of Riyadh.
