Quintiq will join with security provider Avsec to develop an employee scheduling solution that will increase operational efficiencies at New Zealand's airports.

Quintiq's employee scheduling software for operational staff will help Avsec optimise rosters by matching workload to staff resources.

The software will help reduce operational costs, improve efficiency and productivity, and bring a higher level of staff satisfaction and retention to New Zealand's airports, according to Quintiq.

The solution will offer demand-driven rostering by producing real-time adjustments for changed or delayed flights.

Quintiq will install one system that will effectively cover different locations, staff and processes.

The new system will give Avsec the edge to gain a global view on resource management.

Avsec, the government provider of aviation security services in New Zealand, is responsible for all pre-board screening of passengers at major airports throughout New Zealand.
