Singapore's Pteris Global will supply a baggage and container handling system for Taiwan's Taoyuan International Airport's city access mass rapid transit railway.

The system will provide a downtown baggage check-in service at Taipei's main station for airline passengers, located at the city centre and Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 2 station.

The railway links Taoyuan International Airport with its surrounding transportation hubs and covers 22 stations, including 15 elevated and seven underground, and two maintenance depots.

The S$18m (US$12.8m) contract includes the design, supply, manufacture, installation and commissioning of the full suite of system, with work scheduled to finish in 2016.
