Mexican Airports to Receive Baggage Handling Systems from Rapiscan

Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico (GAP) has awarded a contract to Rapiscan Systems for the installation of baggage screening systems at its 12 airports. The $35m contract will involve the construction and installation of Rapiscan MVXR5000 baggage screening system

Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico (GAP) has awarded a contract to Rapiscan Systems for the installation of baggage screening systems at its 12 airports.

The $35m contract will involve the construction and installation of Rapiscan MVXR5000 baggage screening systems.

Rapiscan MVXR5000 provides a multiview dual-energy X-ray imaging unit which can scan up to 1,800 items an hour.

GAP operates 12 airports throughout Mexico including Lic Jesús Terán Peredo International Airport, General Abelardo L Rodríguez International Airport, Manuel Márquez de León International Airport and Playa de Oro International Airport.
