A joint US-South Korean firm has signed a contract with Iraq's investment commission to develop Salah al-Din International Airport in Salah al-Din.

According to reports, the firm will invest in the airport for a period of 25 years in return for 15% of the revenues.

The airport is to be situated 10km east of Salah al-Din's capital city, Tikrit.

Work is scheduled to be completed within two years.
