Otopeni International Airport in Romania will unveil its new passenger terminal towards the end of 2010.

The $101.8m terminal is part of a $218m modernisation programme being undertaken at the airport.

The terminal will feature 15 boarding gates and is expected to increase the annual capacity to six million while capacity per hour will be increased to 2,150 passengers.

The investment is part of the third phase of development at the airport, which includes completion of an international arrivals terminal by December 2011 and the expansion of the international departures terminal which is expected to be completed in June 2012.
