Caticlan International Airport in the Philippines will begin a proposed seven-year expansion project in January 2010.

The PHP2.5bn ($53m) project will include constructing a new terminal to accommodate 1.5 million passengers a year and extending the airport’s runway to 1,900m.

Caticlan International Airport Development will operate the airport under a 25-year build-operate-transfer contract.
