Corvera Airport in Murcia, Spain will receive €200m from the regional government in order to complete construction, which has been delayed due to a lack of funding.

The project is being carried out by a partnership between Sacyr Vallehermoso, Cajamurcia, CAM and Grupo Fuertes, which failed to obtain a sum of €160m therefore causing the delay.

Work on the project began in July 2008 and is expected to be complete by the end of 2010.

The loan is expected to be repaid to the government two months after building work is completed.
