Heathrow’s Terminal 2 Makes its Final Bow

Terminal 2 at Heathrow Airport in the UK is to close today to make way for its £1bn replacement. Following 54 years of operation, the building will be demolished in order to make way for a new terminal, which will be home to Star Alliance – the world's largest airline alliance.

Following 54 years of operation, the building will be demolished in order to make way for a new terminal, which will be home to Star Alliance – the world's largest airline alliance.

The terminal has handled 316 million passengers since it first opened and its final flight will be an Air France route from Paris.
