Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport (MSP) in the US has reopened its north parallel runway 12L/30R, which is a part of a $3.1bn expansion programme.

The $17.5m runway project involved replacing aging runway pavements with a new 8,000ft runway.

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) inspection of the runway's instrument landing system is expected to be complete shortly.
