Mexican Airport to Open Next Week

Rocky Point International Airport in Mexico is due to open next week, before beginning commercial air service operations for private and executive flights in January 2010. The $45m airport includes a 1.55-mile concrete runway and a terminal that can be upgraded in the future.

Construction at the airport began in 2007, and it is expected to be fully operational by 2012.
