The Baltimore / Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) in the US will upgrade its existing baggage screening system with a $3.2m grant from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

New conveyor lines and delegated screening areas will be constructed in a bid to streamline current baggage handling systems.

BWI serves more than 20 million passengers a year.
