New Tunisian Airport to Open in November

Tunisia's new $818m (€550m) Enfidha-Zine El Abidine Ben Ali International Airport is expected to begin operations by November 2009. The airport will be operated by Turkish contractor TAV, who has a $595m (€400m) lease agreement for 40 years. The airport features a 90,000m²

Tunisia's new $818m (€550m) Enfidha-Zine El Abidine Ben Ali International Airport is expected to begin operations by November 2009.

The airport will be operated by Turkish contractor TAV, who has a $595m (€400m) lease agreement for 40 years.

The airport features a 90,000m² terminal and can accommodate five million passengers a year. It can also extend its capacity to ten million if required.
