MBS International Airport (MBS) in the US will go ahead with the construction of a $48m passenger terminal following the recent additional funding of $2.8m from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The impetus of the recent funds and an earlier grant of $11.6m paved the way for the new terminal last month.
The new terminal site has already been cleared, fenced and provided with water and sewer services. The airport is now planning a new entrance and parking area.
The airport is expected to be complete by 2013.
