Expansion of Shenzhen Baoan International Airport in China will be free to go ahead from February 2010 following the completion of a land reclamation project that month.
The reclamation project for the 6bn-yuan airport expansion has been undertaken by Municipal Construction Works Bureau, reports szcpost.com.
Shenzhen Airport Group will oversee the expansion of the second runway, T3 airport terminal building and its supporting facilities.
According to the plan, the airport expansion involves a total area of 13.23km², with 7.83km² in the tide-flat area.
Other projects include the seawall , flood prevention and stagnant water drainage project, which are expected to be complete by the first half of 2010.
