A $13m technology and aerospace park has been proposed for a 467-acre site at Myrtle Beach International Airport in the US according to the Sun News in the county of Horry.

The park is being set up by a local property developer, which hopes to attract large and even international aerospace companies to the region.

In total, $13m has been earmarked for the development.

Construction is expected to begin in December 2009.
