Auckland International Airport in New Zealand has revealed its annual financial results for 2009, which show that revenue has grown to NZ$369.2m.

Factors that have contributed to the increase include additional investment in tourism partnerships, more focus on air service development and a joint venture agreement to develop a major airport hotel.

Auckland Airport chairman Tony Frankham said the company's net profit after tax was estimated at NZ$105.9m, which was within the guidance range predicted in 2008.

Total passenger movements in 2009, however, declined by 1.4% compared to 2008, while air traffic dropped by 1.8% over the previous year.
