Airport systems supplier ARINC has installed the world's first context-aware operational platform at Cairo International Airport's Terminal 3 in Egypt.

The new system will allow airport employees to access relevant IT applications according to their profile, work assignment, type of electronic access and location to ensure for a more secure exchange of passenger and flight information.

In addition, ARINC installed Egypt's first custom biometric immigration at Terminal 3 to streamline border control processing and reduce long security queues.

Terminal 3 is designed to handle 14 million passengers a year and provide services to 27 international and domestic airlines carrying 11,000 passengers a day.
