Birmingham International Airport in the UK is planning to unveil its new £45m passenger terminal in September. The terminal will double the airport's passenger capacity.
The new terminal, which is to be called the International Pier, will provide more space for aircraft and new passenger gate lounges.
The three-storey facility will measure 240m in length and 24m in width, with the top floor devoted for departures, the middle for arrivals and office space for airlines, while the ground floor will be for handling agents.
Once completed, the International Pier will see passenger capacity rise from 9.2 million to 20 million a year.
