Tunica Airport in Mississippi, US, has installed a new $388,000 Reveal CT-80 explosives detection system (EDS) to improve security across the airport.

Transportation Security Administration Director David Wynn said the EDS machine will be capable of detecting explosive materials and eliminates the need for swabbing the luggage for explosives.

Air traffic at Tunica Airport has tripled over the last few years and it is hoped the new machine will help deal with growing passenger figures.
