Dublin Airport Authority has appointed global air transport IT specialists SITA as systems integrator at the airport's new terminal 2.
SITA will supply the new €395m terminal with an integrated IT system that will allow every application to operate on a common network infrastructure.
In collaboration with several technology suppliers, SITA will deliver 14 systems that encompass access control, CCTV, telephony and passenger screening.
Other systems that will be delivered include an operations control centre, terminal display systems, and data, wireless and radio networks.
The new terminal will expand the airport's capacity to over 30 million travellers a year and is expected to become operational by November 2010.
