Laredo Gets $2.5m Funds for Runway Renovations

Laredo International Airport in the US has received a $2.5m grant from the Federal Government for runway rehabilitation totalling to $19m for airport improvement. The funds will be spent on longer and wider runways at the airport to accommodate large aircraft and larger cargo planes.

Construction on the runway renovation will start in early July and is expected to be complete by November 2009.
