Following the swine flu outbreak, Mexican airports recorded a 10.4% fall in passenger traffic this month compared to the same month last year.
Moreover, operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico said that a fall of 4.5% witnessed in international passenger traffic and 13.5% observed in national passenger traffic recorded as compare to the same period last year, the news.airwise.com reported.
The company said: “[The flu] has already led to the cancellation of flights arriving from Canada [and] the US, as well as some domestic flights,” while disclosing the reason behind the fall.
