Taipei International (Songshan) Airport in China will open its second terminal in March, following the completion of renovation works which began in October last year.

The renovated terminal will serve domestic passengers and can accommodate 2.8 million passengers.

It includes two check-in counters, two jet bridges and two luggage carousels and an observation deck.

The upgrade works on the first terminal will also begin in March, and will be able handle international passengers once complete.

Construction will begin in September and include replacing two check-in counters, which will serve two domestic flights with international flight counters, according to taipeitimes.com.
