Airport operator Bucharest National Airports Company has received a €100m ($140m) loan to fund expansion at Henri Coanda International Airport in Otopeni, Romania.
The loan has been secured from the BRD Groupe Societe Generale and BCR.
The company will use the funds to finance the third development and modernising phase of the Henri Coanda Airport.
The airport's new €60m ($82.17m) terminal, which is being delivered by Italian-based Astaldiis, is expected to begin operations by March this year.
The airport's passenger capacity is expected to reach six million by 2012, according to romania-insider.com.
