GVKPIL to Develop New Airports in Indonesia

India's GVK Power and Infrastructure (GVKPIL) has signed two agreements with the Government of Indonesia to develop greenfield international airports in North Bali and Yogyakarta, Java.

The agreement for the Bali airport was made between Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal (BKPM – a board set up by the Government of Indonesia for the facilitation of domestic and foreign investment), and design and construction firm PT Pembangunan Bali Mandiri.

For the Java airport, GVKPIL signed an agreement with Angkasa Pura I (Government-owned airport operations and management company) and BKPM.

The scope of the work will include planning, design and development, operations and management of the airports along with all associated infrastructure, land and commercial development, according to livemint.com.
