The Slovakian Transportation Ministry plans to lease Bratislava Airport for 20 to 30 years.
The draft proposal is to be discussed by the Slovakian Government next month.
Based on ministry estimates, the airport requires €350m ($475m) to be invested in the next ten years for it to remain competitive, according to Slovakian newspaper Sme.
Bratislava Airport has two perpendicular runways (04/22 and 13/31), which enable the landing of all types of aircraft except the An-225 and Airbus A380.
A new terminal building was opened at the airport in June last year.
