Heavy Snow Closes Airports in China

Heavy snowfall in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hunan and Anhui provinces in China has disrupted flight movement and forced airports to close temporarily. Nearly 100 international and domestic flights to and from Shanghai have been delayed due to heavy snow. Pudong International Airport

Heavy snowfall in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hunan and Anhui provinces in China has disrupted flight movement and forced airports to close temporarily.

Nearly 100 international and domestic flights to and from Shanghai have been delayed due to heavy snow.

Pudong International Airport had to delay 24 flights, while Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport had to delay 70 flights.

Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport was closed at 4:30am on Thursday, while heavy snow seriously affected flight operations at Nanjing Lukou International Airport.

Snowfall also affected almost all flights at Hefei Luogang International Airport and lead to closure of Huangshan Tunxi International Airport.
